6.1 - Structure of a Flower

Flower is the most attractive and distinctive organ in the angiosperms. The beauty and scent of the flowers not only attract animals and insects for pollination, flower also helps to maintain survival of the species. Flower has both the male reproductive organs and the female reproductive organs. The other structures that provide support to the flower include peduncles, sepals and petals.
